USB 3.0 Physical Features

USB 3.0 developers made it easy for us to identify whether or not the port supports USB 3.0 (Super Speed USB port *wink*). Basically, all you have to do is count the metal connectors on the USB port of your computer. If it does have 5 plates on it, it’s on 3.0 else it will have 4 plates which of course makes it USB 2.0. Also note that USB 3.0 features a compatibility 2.0 metal plates under it.
